This year we've got an added bonus as weve created an Aberdeen trail map called the Aberdeen City Challenge. Visitors have the chance to win some fabulous artwork, jewellery, gift baskets, vouchers and lots more prizes simply by visiting and collecting 10 signatures from any of the 25 venues taking part around the city.
This is a fantastic way to see just how many creative businesses and individuals we have right here in Aberdeen, so come on why not take the challenge. Challenge pamphlets can be picked up from venues across the city, most of these can be found on the expanded aberdeen map on the main NEOS catalogue map.

Sorry its been a long time since my last blog but I'd just like to let you know about a fantastic anunal arts event were taking part in and will be launching tomorrow, the North East Open Studios 2011.
NEOS is now in it's 8th year and is an open studio event allowing artists/crafters and makers from all over the north east of scotland open there doors to the public and show there wonderful work. This years event is from the 10th - 18th of September.
Heres a copy of our launch day invite which lets you know more about what's happening and who's taking part with us.

Tea Cosy Carousel!

Tea Cosy Carousel! 24th & 25th July, 10am - 4pm each day.
The Academy center (in the old Pier unit), Belmont Street, Aberdeen

We will be attending Tea Cosy an alternative art, craft and design fair which showcases work by many creative individuals including jewellers, artists, ceramists and many more giving them the change to sell there work directly to you the general public.
For the second time it will be held in The Academy centre in the old Pier unit on Belmont Street and will be part of the London 2012 open weekend. Go on have a look you won't regret it!

Friends of ANCHOR charity art show

From the 3rd - 31st July 30% of all sales generated from our special exhibition will be donated to Friends of ANCHOR. This charity supports the ANCHOR unit in Aberdeen which is a unit of Foresterhill hospital, Aberdeen that supports people with cancer and blood disorders.
We have work on display by 17 amazing local artists and makers!

Sorry it's been soooo long since our last update, it's been a busy time here. We had a lovely lead up to the festive period and a restful break between Crimbo and new year but now were back and raring to go.
We have 2 events on the go at the moment. The first is the 'Junction Valentine's Jewellery spectacular!' this event is on till the 13th of Feb and has 10 fabulous local jewellers showing there beautiful range of work.

The second is the 'Paint and Pottery exhibition' which will run until mid April. We have 5 painters taking part all new to the gallery, a range of beautiful ceramic vases, bowls and jewellery by Fiona Duckett and sculpture by Pat Duncan Davidson.

NEOS @ the Junction!

Well NEOS or North East Open Studios is finally here! NEOS will run from the 12th to the 21st of Sept and is a cracking arts project that involves over 200 creative individuals, galleries and organisations in the north east! Here's a photo of how we tried to get the passing trades attention! We are taking part in "Tea Cosy" which is an alternative art, craft & design fair.
It's being held in the Ross Crombie Hall, Ashgrove House, Foresterhill Road, Aberdeen on Friday 21st & Saturday 22nd August - Why not pop along & take a look!!

New Exhibition - The Graduates

Our new exhibition - "The Graduates" opened last night. There was a fantastic turnout & a great time was had by all (nothing to do with the wine I'm sure!!)

Thanks to all our artists who were wonderful and brung lots of freinds and family & to all those who attended, making it a huge success.
